Theatre For All

Established in 2014 by Lisa Hanson & Jessica Froehlich, Edina High School's Theatre for All program brings Unified programming to theatre. This course pairs special needs students with typical peers. These pairs create and perform their roles together. This partnership model allows students who typically do not get the opportunity to engage in performance the chance to be center stage. By the end of the course, students have created a show which they share with the community at the Edina Performing Arts Center. Past shows include SHREK, BEAUTY & THE BEAST, THE LION KING and THE LITTLE MERMAID. Theatre for All is a proud recipient of the Cargill Community Partner Grant.

Ms. Hanson and Ms. Froehlich lead workshops around the area and the country helping other schools and theater programs to begin their own unified performance model. The best way to understand how it works is to attend a show!
